Jennifer began her legal practice over 14 years ago in Washington, DC. During her tenure at the Department of Treasury, Jennifer navigated the complex regulations governing trade with sanctioned countries, primarily reviewing violations of the Trading With the Enemy Act, Iran Sanctions Act and Sudanese Sanctions Regulations. Working closely with OFAC’s investigation division to fully develop each case, Jennifer recommended civil penalties or waiver thereof for individuals, financial institutions and corporations.
Jennifer then served as in-house counsel at BSA | The Software Alliance, the country’s foremost trade association of software publishers. She began as an enforcement attorney, responsible for both investigating and resolving a large docket of copyright infringement matters. Jennifer then assumed responsibility for BSA’s North America enforcement program, managing outside counsel in both the United States and Canada. The common theme, even in such disparate practice areas, is that it is much easier to plan for a future event than it is to react as that event is unfolding.
Jennifer lives in Lantana with her husband Jonathan, sons Charlie and Drew, and yellow Lab, Bella. She is rooted in her community, serving preschool children at Valley Creek Church and volunteering at Blanton Elementary. Jennifer loves traveling with her family, taking classes at CycleBar and cheering for her beloved Kentucky Wildcats.
